Village in the Shade is a one-of-a-kind cozy life simulation that blends relaxing daily life with Japanese horror, folklore, and yokai mythology. Set in a nostalgic, distinctly Japanese countryside, the game offers a life simulation experience unlike traditional Western-style farming sims. Build your life at your own pace — farm the land, raise livestock, fish in tranquil waters, and explore the village as you uncover the quiet mysteries woven into everyday life.

Featuring beautifully hand-drawn visuals, the game’s charming characters and subtly expressionless faces create a unique atmosphere — equal parts cute, melancholic, and deeply nostalgic. Rather than relying on conventional horror, the game evokes a lingering sense of unease that quietly permeates village life. As the story unfolds, players will uncover mysterious “rules” governing the village, inviting narrative-driven players to piece together its hidden truths and deeper secrets.

                      EXCHANGE

                      We have a 7-day exchange policy, where you will have 7 days after receiving your item to request for an exchange. 

                      To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, price tags attached, and in its original packaging.

                      Items purchased at a discount are not exchangeable. You can only exchange for the same item and not for another different item.

                      To start an exchange, you can either visit the outlet you purchased from or contact us by clicking here. You will need the following for us to facilitate this exchange:

                      1. Physical receipt
                      2. Reason for exchange

                      We will be in touch with you in about 1-2 business days (weekends and public holidays excluded).

                      Exchange requests for purchases over 7 days will not be entertained.

                      DAMAGES

                      Please inspect your item immediately after receiving it to check for defects, damages or if you have received the wrong item. Contact us by clicking here for further assistance with our team.

                      When collecting your order at a TOG retail outlet, you can request to inspect the item before leaving.

                      REFUNDS

                      We do not offer refunds unless there is a manufacturing defect with your item or if the error is from our end. 

                      Orders that are ready for collection have a 14-day reservation period. If the order is not yet collected after 14 days, it may be forfeited without notice and no refunds will be offered.
